Why do we get sick?

Our physical vehicle was designed to work with precision and excellence.  Undoubtedly, for a body to function with perfection, it needs to be at ease. This means that all organs, tissues, nerves and glands should be working in cooperation and harmony. The harmonic functioning of the entire system is based on the fact that all the parts are operating at their optimum without stress. When something strange or extraordinary to the system is introduced upon the energetic layers of body, in a way or another it will alter the balance of its functions and we can say that the body can be thrown to a state of dis-ease.

Every illness or disease can be interpreted as a direct message to the individual that something unusual has approached and disturbed the system and was not accessed nor corrected properly. Many illnesses, or blockages, appear on the more subtle levels of the body much earlier than it can “solidify” and manifest itself in the lower of the bodies, the physical. The meaning behind an illness resides in the bringing of awareness back to the physical level, in order that big issues can be also accessed and healed. Even the smallest sign of sickness or indisposition should be regarded as a sign that your system is not operating at its ideal, the influx and circulation of energies are not supplying the adequate level responsible for healthy living.

Some spiritual healing traditions actively believe that in some cases, illnesses can function as “anamcaras” or friends of the soul. This paradoxical statement is based on the fact that some illnesses will inevitable force an individual to rethink, restructure and rebirth their entire life in order to find healing, forgiveness and finally, liberation.

From an esoteric perspective, every illness is not a cause, but a consequence of the exposure, intake, quality and frequency of the dissonant energies that circulate around our physical and extra-physical bodies.

The mediator or controller agent of these types of energies is the quality of the thought process by the person. The quality of the thoughts can influence the weight and worth of the related feelings. Some anomalies are born from undisciplined self, either emotionally or mentally.

As our physical body can experience illness and disarray from the ingestion of food or drinks that may poison our system, we also can get out of optimum balance when we absorb and somatize energies and vibrations (emotions) that can intoxicate our system, initially through the more subtle levels and finally reaching and degrading the lower level of the cells of the material vehicle.

We are energetic receivers/transmitters of the influx of energies coming from the cosmos, ingestion of foods, respiration and inner spiritual power. We are responsible for the quality of energy we give as an input to the collective consciousness of this planet. As we elevate our personal frequencies and vibrations through the cultivation of higher feelings, we slowly but surely erase the suffering, pain, sadness and the sense of separation from source. Only through the purification of our own vehicles, the care about the quality of mindful thoughts and emotions we transmit, can we facilitate and give birth to a new level of health and wellness to all of us.

NOTE: An illness or medical condition should be seen by a qualified medical practitioner.  This article is meant to highlight how energetic therapies can help facilitate healing as a compliment to, and not in place of, proper medical attention.

Yoga mantra is the practice of mantras as a spiritual training.  Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline, originating in ancient India. The goal of yoga, or of the person practicing yoga, is the attainment of a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility while meditating on Supersoul.

The Tibetan mantras are intoned and performed as repetitive prayers, such as the prayers of Mystical Christianity, which are still exercised by Catholics, although not Protestants. In Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism, all the mantras are in Tibetan, as the Japanese Zen Buddhism expresses their mantra practice in Japanese.

For some schools of thought, the mantra can be any sound, word, phrase or text that retains a specific power. For these schools, it is fundamental that the mantras belong to the original language so that the meaning and pronunciation will not suffer from the erosion of regionalism and evolution of the language because this would affect the significance of the seed word.  This means the language is often archaic or a “dead” language.

Mantras exist to facilitate the skill of concentration; when used along with meditation, it can either energize, or relax, or even facilitate the awakening of dormant capabilities. Through the awakening of the energetic channels, one is able to cleanse the chakras, developing and building new vibrational patterns into their power system.

The mantras can jump start the initiation in powerful vibrations that can be represented both by a specific spiritual frequency or a state of consciousness. For instance, the word Shanti means Peace, but the repetition not only brings the frequency of peace, but it simultaneously creates the state of Peace inside of the chanter.

With the proper use through time and practice, a mantra can overcome all the dissonances and non-harmonic vibrations that are lingering in one’s energetic body system. As multidimensional beings, we tend to gather a diversity of different frequencies, even though the absorption of vibrations from others nearby. In other words, a repetition mantra can and will harmonize your general frequency, modeling your pulsating rate, eliminating and muting other vibrations. This is one of the achievements of this practice: concentration and centering.

There will inevitably be many changes that one can experiment in time through this practice, a priori they are felt at the subtle levels, but progressively their effects can be observed in various levels of one’s life.

The expansion of your ability to think clearly, the cleansing of your sub-conscious mind through the elimination of secondary acquired vibrations, and a more calming effect in our relationships are just a few of these side effects.

At a profound level, we can say that our subconscious mind is a communal consciousness of all the forms of primeval consciousness which exist throughout the physical and subtle bodies. The dedicated use of mantra can open a space or gateways into subconscious crystallized thoughts, stored in the organs and glands, and transform these bodily parts into repositories of peace.  The mantra can be defined as the entry way for the release of many crystallized samskara.

A mantra is a sound, syllable, word, or group of words that is considered capable of “creating transformation”.  Its use and type varies according to the school and philosophy associated with the mantra. In the Vedas, it is said that “Speech is the essence of humanity” and claims that what humanity thinks and vibrates will ultimately come to being through the expression of thought: ideas into action and writings through speech.

Mantras are part of a very ancient scope of techniques that work. The word “mantra” is derived from two Sanskrit words. The first is “manas” or “mind,” which provides the “man” syllable. The second syllable is drawn from the Sanskrit word “trai” or “tra” meaning to “catapult” or to “free from.” Therefore, the word mantra in its most literal sense means “to be free from the mind.” Mantra is, at its core, a tool used by the mind which eventually frees oneself from the caprices of the mind.  It is a group of sounds, that can be pronounced verbally or mentally to evoke/invoke a determined vibration to produce a desired effect.

Many Vedic and Buddhist practices state that it is of vital necessity to learn these spiritual tools if one intends to advance on the path of high attainment. The Dalai Lama himself asserts: “Therefore, without depending upon mantra…Buddhahood cannot be attained.”

Unmistakably, there is a reason why such generally differing foundations of “spiritual” and “religious” wisdoms as the Vedas, the New Testament and the Dalai Lama communicate in communal ideas.

In a nutshell, the words of the mantras are a physical personification of a vibration. The repetition of this vibration will alter the pattern of the pulsation energies of your chakras, restoring or recreating subtle Light Cords that are softly weaved inside of your energetic body. This can be understood as being a primary level of the action of a mantra, at the word level.

In the deepening of this practice, one comes to understand the power that intention plays when linked with the power of the seeds sounds of the mantra. The sounds can carry the wave of intention to an entire different level of manifestation. The mere repetition of the mantra without conducing the mind to align its intentional purpose, serves only to focus the intellect to a one point concentration practice, but does not gather the ultimate benefit or projecting your intention through the sound.

Our consciousness is actually a collection of states of consciousness that exist simultaneously in various dimensions, i.e. in our physical and extra-physical bodies. In Ageless Wisdom tradition, it is believed that each organ has its primitive consciousness which allows them to perform the specific functions entrusted to them. In the same way, the traditional teachings also refer to the existence of a collective consciousness that links all these organs allowing them to function interdependently. This structure can be well observed as a diagram of our physical body; but, in reality, the same model can be observed in our emotional body and the other subtle bodies as well. The end result is that we have consciousness overlaid with other levels of consciousness and the progression can be virtually infinite.

Lord Ganesh is the master of wisdom and knowledge. He is the remover of obstacles, and guardian of beauty, prosperity, grace and compassion. Lord Ganesh is the first deity to be reverenced in Hindu rites. He is a guardian of doors of houses and temples. He is the God that removes the internal and external obstacles of our success, and he is the one that grants the opening of your spiritual gifts. He is also the protector of all beings.

Lord Ganesha is known as the Guardian of Knowledge, representing the sage, or a state of consciousness where a man reaches self-realization and plenitude of gifts.

He is the first son of Shiva, the Lord of Transformation and supreme reality and the Goddess Parvati, the Mother of the Cosmos.

Lord Ganesha is an embodiment of wisdom and bliss. He is the Lord of Brahmacharins. He is the foremost among Brahmacharins or celibates.

He rides on the Vahana, the small mouse. He is the Presiding Deity of the Muladhara Chakra.

He is the Lord who removes all obstacles in the spiritual path and brings worldly success. So He is called Vighna Vinayaka. His Bijakshara is Gang. He is the Lord of harmony and peace.

Lord Ganesha represents OM or the Pranava. Pranava is the chief Mantra of the Hindus. Nothing can be done without uttering it. Hence the practice of invoking Lord Ganesha before beginning any rite or work. The two feet are His Jnana Sakti and Kriya Sakti. Lord Ganesha has the elephant-head as that is the one figure in nature which is of the form of Pranava.

Riding on the mouse represents that He has killed egoism. He holds Ankusa. This represents that He is the Ruler of the world. This is the emblem of Divine Royalty.

In accordance with the legends, Sri Ganesha was the scribe for the Vedic Texts, which he did using his tusks instead of a pen.

His Maha mantra is Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha.  Lord Ganesha’s Mantras can be chanted out loud or internally. They have been used throughout the centuries and it is believed that the sacred power of words and the accompanying sounds in mantra aid in spiritual progression (transcending into higher states of consciousness) and to effect healing in the physical and energetic bodies.

We strongly recommend the practice of the mantras for a period of 40 days (please see the meaning of the number 40) during a spiritual ritual at the same time every day.

Om gam ganapataye namaha!

A very loose translation might be:
Om = Salutations! Everyone wake up!
Gam = The secret power sound of Ganesh. It is his “seed syllable” or bija mantra.
Ganapataye = Another name of Ganesh, the breaker of obstacles.
Namaha = Yo! Ganesh! You da God!

The pronunciation is also pretty easy:
Om = ohm or aum
Gam = Somewhere between “gahm” and “gum”. In some dialects it is “guhng”.
Ganapataye = gah-nah-paht-ah-yeh
Namaha - nah-mah-hah

The number 40 has a powerful significance in many spiritual traditions and in many cultures. In general the number 40 represents a state of purification, or “decantation”, where there is a clear separation between substances, i.e the lower vibration ones and the higher vibration ones.

In traditional alchemy, there is a mention to the 40 philosophical days as a recommended period of purification, purging and refinement of the senses preceding any transmutation work.

In the Christian tradition, Lent is the period of the liturgical year from Ash Wednesday to Easter. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer – through prayer, repentance, almsgiving and self-denial – for the annual commemoration during the Holy Week of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus, which recalls the events linked to the Passion of Christ and culminates in Easter, the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Bible itself is filled with passages that mention the number 40 as a benchmark of deep transformation[1]. The 40 days of the flood, the forty days that Moses and Elijah spent on the mountains, the 40 years of pilgrimage from the Israelites in the desert, and also the forty days master Jesus  spent on prayers and fasting before he started his  public mission.  In addition, let us not forget the 400 years of the permanence of the Israelites in Egypt.  In the Holy Bible, the number 4 symbolizes the material Universe and the zeros that follow the number are significant to represent the time in our lives, the challenges and difficulties that must be overcome.

In every sacred reading from ancient traditions, we see the mentioning of the 40 days as precursors in creating a favorable environment for change and the deep preparation of the heart through purging of the old and of obstacles in order to receive a new set of instructions and preparation for a new phase in life. So the 40 days of Lent is also linked with the Babylonian goddess Ashtoreth/ Astarte/Ishtar (the origin of the word Easter), and the worship of Tammuz[2]. Unlike Lent and the fasting tradition that was not necessarily explicit in the scriptures, both of these references to Tammuz and the worship of the Sun can be found in scripture[3].

“Originally, even in Rome, Lent, with the preceding revelries of the Carnival, was entirely unknown; and even when fasting before the Christian Pasch was held to be necessary, it was by slow steps that, in this respect, it came to conform to the ritual of Paganism. What may have been the period of fasting in the Roman Church before the sitting of the Nicene Council does not very clearly appear, but for a considerable period after that Council, we have distinct evidence that it did not exceed three weeks. The words of Socrates, writing on this very subject, about A.D. 450, are these: ‘Those who inhabit the princely city of Rome fast together before Easter three weeks, excepting the Saturday and Lord’s day.’ But at last, when the worship of Astarte was rising into the ascendant, steps were taken to get the whole Chaldean Lent of six weeks, or forty days, made imperative on all within the Roman empire of the West. The way was prepared for this by a Council held at Aurelia in the time of Hormisdas, Bishop of Rome [514-523], about the year 519, which decreed that Lent should be solemnly kept before Easter. It was with the view, no doubt, of carrying out this decree that the calendar was, a few days after, readjusted by Dionysius.”

“Legend has it that Tammuz was killed by a wild boar when he was forty years old. Hislop points out those forty days–a day for each year Tammuz had lived on earth — were set aside to “weep for Tammuz.” In olden times these forty days were observed with weeping, fasting, and self-chastisement — to gain anew his favor — so he would come forth from the underworld and cause spring to begin. This observance was known not only at Babylon, but also among the Phoenicians, Egyptians, Mexicans, and, for a time, even among the Israelites.”[4]

In the Hindu tradition, the word Chalisa means “forty verse” prayer.  It is derived from the Hindi word “chalis” which means 40.  In a Chalisa, the acts and deeds od deities are recalled in these verses to aid the devotee to meditate on righteous and noble qualities.

 Occult Anatomy

Throughout our lifetime, we have been engraving in our cells the multitude of vibrations we both receive and transmit. These vibratory patterns may be either positive or negative ones. The constant pulsating of these frequencies generate a pattern that gets imprinted in our cellular memories. In order to de-codify these impressions over the permanent atom, one needs to actively work on the reprogramming of one’s own vibratory template in order to reconstruct a new cellular pattern. As we are multidimensional beings, the rebuilding of the energetic template also translates to other dimensional planes.  This is done though the Law of Resonance and the Law of Grace to repattern the vibrations through time and space, liberating blockages, sanskaras[1], phobias, self-limiting beliefs and karmic residues.

Some traumas, mistakes, phobias, addictions and even illnesses can be diffused and transmitted through the inherited DNA[2].They become holographic imprinted ciphers, coded in our genetic material, and therefore generating a predisposition to recreate themselves and be present in our lifetimes as personal challenges. If these patterns are not reversed, some karmic infirmities acquire the perfect substrata to manifest themselves as illnesses such as Aids, Diabetes, Hepatitis, and Cancer.

The key for this reprogramming and cleansing is the synchronization of the multidimensional selves and the timeline on which one is operating. The method behind the synchronization is that the one doing this process should concentrate all their intentions and energies to the ‘present’ moment. Much energy and effort are wasted when one tends to live in the past, through vivid memories, or keeping their “personal” history alive.  This is also true for those who are always living in the expectancy and forecasts of the imminent future.  Both patterns of behavior have a tendency to create energetic blockages that disperse the focal point of the intentions and thereby greatly diminishing the efficiency of any healing practice.

After the energetic cleansing of your blood and memory cells, we recommend that other supplementary work be done for the disrupting the automatic responses imprinted in the physical vehicle, the body. This is a effort that can classified as a detox and a detachment process; where one will need to clean, re-create and re-educate oneself to the new template, as it also directly liberates the bloodline, both forward and backward, of these patterns.

While this reprogramming and detoxing does not necessarily touch the problems originated from past lives or parallel realities, it can greatly mitigate the effects of them since all that is present and manifested in the present time receives, directly or indirectly, the influences of our multidimensional existence.

The blood reprogramming and cleansing are just the first steps towards an initiative of self-cleansing, purification, clarification of purpose and self-awareness. The cultivation of a harmonious way of living, a mindful code of conduct, and a healthy lifestyle are the assets one should keep as the result of the cellular reprogramming. The breaking of the old patterns is a necessary step for change and transmutation.  In the system of capturing and circulating new energies, the maintenance of a new vibratory pattern is the guarantee of success in the long run. We shall accentuate, nevertheless, that this is not a quick solution, nor a simple process.  With any multidimensional healing or ancestral restorative measure, it demands continuity, commitment and goodwill.

Once an individual presents the intention to start a cellular reprogramming, the spiritual universe conspires to that effect, opening the space for the manifestation of this thought-form. With a sincere sense of commitment, this process can open doors and liberate configurations that may be not able to be manifested in the present state of consciousness of the individual. Your active participation in the reprogramming of the memory cells and re-patterning of your own energetic template can deepen your understanding of your spirituality and your interconnections with your family lineage.

The question about the spiritual significance and esoteric meaning of the blood has been a thematic of study and of much interpretation through the ages; being the subject of a variety of religious and spiritual traditions.

The tradition of Sacred Blood of the Christ, the ultimate sacrificial lamb, as the means of redemption of the entire human race, brings to the front the importance of this vital physical element in our understanding of ourselves, our beliefs systems and our abilities to heal and to be healed. Aside of the practice of the scapegoat (subject of other analyses), the significance of the blood as a deep commitment is also easily perceived through the ritual of meaningful valid blood pledges or vows.

It is in the blood that we have the flow of the current that sustains life and as the element that integrates all the physical and metaphysical functions of the organs. The blood and the circulatory system can, in this sense, be compared to the materialized structure that represents the etheric movement of energies and the prana in our extra-physical bodies. As long as we can maintain a vigorous circulation of blood and energy in our systems, we will experience health and a strong immune system.

The blood also relates to the concept of hereditary or DNA heritage, thus the emphasis in the importance and influence of bloodlines as a tool to determine the natural capabilities, aptitudes and limitations of each individual through the processes of life, that each one of us faces in the process of awakening and in the path of self-realization.

The blood is constantly recycled by the heart and it has, according to the 15th Century Alchemist Paracelsus, simultaneously the “Spirit of Air and of the Fire”. The modern science gives us the details of its physical composition and structure: more or less six liters of blood in average of an adult body of 135-140 pounds. Each litter contains 25 trillion of red cells which transports oxygen; and many more white cells or leukocytes, which are cells of the immune system involved in defending the body against both infectious disease and foreign materials. The number of leukocytes in the blood is often an indicator of disease. Whenever a germ or infection enters the body, the white blood cells are quick to attention and race toward that specific place in the body. The white blood cells are continually on the lookout for signs of disease.

Kabalistically speaking, according to the Mystic Manly Palmer Hall, author of the book The Secret Teachings of All Ages, the blood is an “electric” fluid that carries in itself a suspended form of the vital principle of life, which is absorbed by us through the act of respiration. The Hindu tradition classifies this vital principle as Prana.

In many other human cultures, the blood is seen as a prevailing symbol of life. The tradition to affirm contract, alliances and vows, regarded as irreversible in nature, was done through a solemn ritual that involved the mixing of two bloods as a sacred seal.

This mantra is the love Mantra for Lord Krishna, and expresses more than the loving relationship from him to Sri Radha as it direct itself towards the love for all Creation. It is composed of sacred sounds that evoke the amorous symphony of the universe inside of our hearts. It is said to attract real love, friendship and affection into the life of the chanter. The ultimate value of this mantra is the attainment of unconditional love.  It will bring a stream of tender energies into our reality because it weaves delicate vibrations into our energy bodies.

Meaning:

“Because you are more seductive than Cupid,

You have stolen my heart,

Sing the name of God (Hari)”

Hari is an Avatar, another name of Vishnu and Krishna, and appears as the 650th name in the Vishnu sahasranama of Mahabharata. In Sanskrit, Hari is a name of both Krishna and Vishnu meaning “he who steals, or takes away”, referring to how Krishna takes away all distress and anxieties, and lovingly robs the heart of His devotee. During religious festivals it is a common occurrence to hear people call out Haribol ! Haribol! Meaning “please call out the name Hari”, the Hare Krishna mantra contains the name in the vocative.

Your mood, attitude, or mentality is also very important while chanting. Chanting is not just a mechanical process. It must be accompanied with the appropriate feelings, performed for the right purpose, and with proper consciousness.

HUMANITY HEALING CODE OF ETHICS FOR HEALERS

Purpose:

Humanity Healing believes that the following fundamental professional principles hold true for all healers regardless of modality practiced and should be upheld at all times:

• That all healing modalities have at their core the principle that all life is sacred and that it must be nurtured on every level for the betterment of humankind.
• That all healers will honor other healing paths and modalities, other spiritual inclinations and other viewpoints as regards the healing professions as sacred.
• That they will at all times work with respect, honesty, integrity, impartiality and confidentiality with each client that comes under their care. Above all that they should conduct themselves in a non-judgmental fashion as regards all aspects of patient care.
• All professional relationships shall be of the highest ethical and moral order and be non-exploitative. All healers must maintain appropriate boundaries for self and client and must not enter into inappropriate relationships with clients or take physical, emotional, sexual, psychological or financial advantage.
• The highest standards of practice must be observed at all times.

Code of Practice:

Humanity Healing expects all healers, regardless of modality practiced, to abide by the following ethical code:

1. That all practitioners should be adequately insured (including public indemnity where necessary) to practice according to the legal requirements in force in their respective countries.
2. You must make it clear to clients that you practice a supplementary or complementary therapy and that it is not a replacement for treatment by a doctor or other licensed health care professional.
3. You should where possible make available adequate printed information for clients that outlines the boundaries of your practice and provides basic information on its method of application. You should also give details of client record keeping, likely number of consultations needed and the fees that will be charged.
4. You must make sure that your client has seen a licensed medical practitioner or other health care professional for the condition for which they are seeking your services. If they have not done so you should encourage them to do so.
5. You must never claim to offer a ‘cure’ for any condition.
6. You must not diagnose a condition or illness unless legally entitled to do so under the applicable laws in the country of practice.
7. If you are mixing modalities, you should make this clear to the client at the outset.
8. You must not discuss any information either imparted to you by the client or gathered by you during the course of the treatment or session to any third party unless required to do so by the law (eg. where the client had indicated feelings of a suicidal nature).
9. If a client asks for advice on an operation or medical procedure or other medical intervention, a healer must not give opinion or advice in any manner. The patient must make their own decisions in consultation with registered or licensed healthcare professionals.

10.  If physical contact is involved, this must be explained and approved by the client prior to the session.

11.  Healers should not tell the client to disrobe unless they are also a legally licensed massage therapist in the country in which they practice, or depending on the applicable laws in force in the country of practice are required to do so under the professional remit of their particular healing modality. If disrobing is necessary, a full explanation and signed consent form is required for each client.

12.  A healer should never touch the genital area or breasts. These areas should be treated only with hands-off techniques.

13.  Children (those considered under the age of consent according to the legal definition in force in the country of practice) should not be treated unless with the written and signed permission of the Parent/Guardian. The Parent/Guardian should be present when the child is treated.

14.  A healer should not give massage or manipulation unless qualified and licensed to do so.

15.  Healers should not sell herbs or drugs unless professionally qualified. Healers should not recommend nutritional supplements without appropriate knowledge and/or professional license to do so according to the laws in force in the country of practice.

16.  Healers associated with the development or promotion of products should disclose any vested interest and ensure that such products are presented in a factual and professional way.

17.  Healers should co-operate with and respect those who also have a professional and/or personal interest in the welfare of the client, including other therapists, counselors, medical professionals, caregivers, spiritual or religious counselors and the client’s immediate family.

18.  Healers should retain the right to refuse or postpone treatment at any time if it is felt that such treatment is, according to the professional judgment of the practitioner, inappropriate for whatever reason (such as the client being under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or because they are acting in a threatening or otherwise inappropriate manner). Clear reasons for such a decision should be given to the client as soon as possible.

Some General Rules on Conduct:

1. Maintain a high degree of personal cleanliness at all times. Be aware of the comfort requirements of your client as well as their healing needs and practice what you preach. Some clients may have an allergic reaction to such things as cologne, heavy perfumes, incense or the smell of cigarette smoke. Refrain from their use.
2. Keep your premises in good professional order and ensure that all equipment and access/exit points are safe and abide by the relevant health and safety laws of the country in which you practice.
3. The place where your sessions or treatments are to take place should be supportive and empowering.
4. If you are to work with a client of the opposite sex be mindful of the sensitivities of the client and suggest that it would be appropriate for them to bring along a friend or relative to the healing session or treatment.
5. Refrain from bringing your own emotional states into the relationship with your client. Stay positive, optimistic, empathic and supportive and thus encourage uplift in the client’s mental outlook.
6. Maintain accurate records at all times and store them in a safe and secure place. Records should only be made available to the client for whom they are concerned or other healthcare workers or members of the legal profession if required to do so under the laws applicable in the country of practice.
7. You should engage in continuous professional development and work on your own healing, seeing this as a necessary part of your commitment to your modality and thus to your professional capabilities when working with clients.
