House of Justice
Welcome to the House of Justice!
This House focuses on civil rights and other humanitarian social issues. Raising awareness of current and emerging problems is the first step towards resolving them.
Globally, there are many people and regions in crisis. The principles of Altruism and the Brotherhood of Man have declined in importance as individuals, nations and religions focus on the differences between each other instead of the similarities within our shared Humanity. This House will be used to educate about emerging issues and show what actions individuals can take to make a difference. When individual actions are magnified through The Ripple Effect, we can create great change.
For nearly 20 years, I helped litigate plaintiffs’ antitrust class actions against some of the world’s largest corporations, primarily with former law firm based in Washington, DC. Following a major spiritual awakening, I now have a legal practice called Evolutionary Law, which seeks to bring the rights of Nature into balance with the rights of Humanity. This is my attempt to advance the principles of Earth Jurisprudence set out by Thomas Berry in his book The Great Work. My focus is on educating communities and individuals about how laws have evolved to support changing memes, or cultural stories that govern our view of the world and our relationship to each other and to nature, and how those laws need to shift to sustain life on the planet. I have recently written an essay titled: “Evolving From Dominion to Communion: How Legal Rights for Nature Can Exist In Balance With Individual Property Rights In A Global Commons”. I would love to connect with other like beings who are shifting consciousness through creative means.
