A Tale of Tolerance
"I may speak in tongues of men or of angels, but if I am without love, I am a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal."
~ 1 Corinthians 13:1
The legends say that in ancient times, all mankind were one people, with one language. But the Ego began to overshadowed the spiritual nature, the original blueprint. In their arrogance, they started building a tower, thinking that they could ascend into Heaven solely on their own pride. They forgot that ascension is not about the Self. The Creator, seeing what the people were doing, split mankind through their language and the people scattered across the earth. Over time, we forgot that we are all One and Intolerance was born
"We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin, but we all belong to one human race."
~ Kofi Annan
Tolerance is the appreciation of diversity. It is ability to recognize that our similarities are more important than our differences, while still celebrating those differences.
"Tolerance is not just agreeing with one another or remaining indifferent in the face of injustice, but rather showing respect for the essential humanity in every person."
~ William Ury
There are many challenges that we face during our life journey. The lessons to be learned through Tolerance open many new doors inside our being. They will give us a considerable shift in our perspective.
There is an incredible strength that comes from the Soul to support us when we decide to become more Tolerant. We enable ourselves to respond to situations more clearly without hurting anyone; inspired by the light that comes straight from the Soul. Tolerance will create a perfect internal environment from where we are able to act allied with the Will of Spirit, or Higher Self, instead of just reacting through the Lens of the Lower Self.
"I have learned silence from the talkative, tolerance from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strangely, I am ungrateful to these teachers"
~Kahlil Gibran
When we become skilled at practicing Tolerance in our lives, we start to observe we are becoming more supportive in our ways to communicate with others.
"The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority."
~ Ralph W. Sockman
Humanity walks along the brink. On one side is the dawn of a new era. On the other is chaos. Tolerance is one of the steps to lasting Peace. Humanity is starting to Awake: to remember our connection with each other and to speak again with the Language of the Heart.
"When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others."
~ Peace Pilgrim

Hi, I liked your website and the work you are doing to awaken humanity towards goodness and also enjoyed watching your video on tale of tolerance. I would like to share something we are doing on Tolerance this month. I am writing on behalf of the Spotlight Values. Spotlight Values is dedicated to the International Year of Youth and connected to the four UN International days of Peace, Non-violence, Tolerance and Human Rights. This initiative is encouraging the youth and young leaders between the ages of 13 – 35 to explore, express and exchange these four values: peace, non-violence, tolerance and Dignity and this month we are spotlighting tolerance. If you have any stories or artistic creations on Tolerance please share with us on our website: http://spotlightvalues.org
