The Icarus Paradigm
Within mythology, we can learn about the Archetypes of Ascension.
The story of Icarus is representative of a pattern many on the Spiritual Path face: not fully balancing service and Self.
There is a common misconception on the Spiritual Path about Ascension: that the purpose of life is just to ascend into the Light. This completely ignores the responsibility to do something in the Earthly world to redeem it and help raise humanity to a higher vibrational civilization.
Our Wings are the Spiritual Gifts we develop. They are to be used in selfless service to others, not self service.
