According to the new Gnosis Movement, the Cerebellum is the “Heart of the Esoteric Man.”
The Cerebellum - The Heart of the Esoteric Man
The brain itself is divided into two parts: the anterior brain and the cerebellum, which is also referred to as the hindbrain or intuitive brain. It has such importance that there are many mystic techniques to activate this power center. In the cerebellum reside the main connections that network the energies among the physical brain and the mental and astral planes.
The cerebellum (Latin for little brain) is located at the base of the skull just above the point where the spinal cord connects. It is a region of the brain that plays an important role in motor control. It may also be involved in some cognitive functions, such as attention and language, and in regulating fear and pleasure responses. In its anatomy, the cerebellum has the appearance of a separate structure attached to the bottom of the brain, tucked underneath the cerebral hemispheres.
Here is how the cerebellum works in our energetic matrix:
Imagine a great day ahead of you and appreciate what you have. This thought is then pulled together from the neurons of the brain and formed as an image in the frontal lobe. When we keep focus and hold that image long enough, a belief is then created, and the cerebellum is activated. This is where the idea is held as truth, and your actions are then directed towards this as an outcome: your outer world will reflect this action, as you only perceive life coming from your personal truth or system of beliefs.
When we give more power and importance to the forebrain or the rational part of our consciousness, we, unfortunately, contribute to the atrophy of the cerebellum’s role, making the benefits of this important part of our anatomy almost completely unused and lost.
Consider some of the consequences of the atrophy of the cerebellum:
- Unconsciousness in moments of transition between sleep and wakefulness.
- No recollection of astral experiences.
- Confusion between authentic astral experiences (conscious or unconscious) and mere projections of psychic centers of machine centers (intellectual, emotional, motor, instinctive and sexual).
- Loss of connection between the centers of the Higher Self and the Lower Self’s machine centers, preventing the reception of messages from the Higher Self (the Divine Being) and also the Masters and Angels of the Higher Worlds.
- Difficulties in remembering dreams soon after waking up.
In traditional Chinese medicine, the brain is regarded as having the Yang polarity, and the cerebellum implements the Yin vibration. When there is an imbalance between the two parts, usually the disadvantages damage the cerebellum's functions, creating disconnections between the physical, astral, and mental parts of our brain system.
The grounding places of our rational self are the mind and our physical bodies; the grounding of the intuition is our Spirit or Higher Self. Our rational aspect is part of the physical brain that is attached to the world of matter and is restricted to the concept of time and space. The rational mind cannot function outside the time-space construct, even if composed of a more delicate substance, as it interacts and perceives reality only through earthly parameters of any given situational reality. Therefore, we can say it is earthbound.
On the other hand, intuition (not the feelings) is located outside of the time and space construct, and originates from the spiritual connections we may have with the different realms of reality that extrapolate the earthly linear dimensions. With a progressive materialistic way of life, human beings have created obstructions between the world of dense physical matter and the world of a more refined matter (the ethereal world), which results in the belief that something that cannot be felt with the physical five senses is denied a place in existence.
